Product Description

Redfish is a dextrose-based electrolyte formulated for superior absorption, utilization, and safety. Unlike many electrolytes that rely solely on salts, Redfish includes vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to provide full-spectrum support during periods of heat, transport, illness, and performance stress.

Its dextrose base improves uptake while reducing the risk of overuse, making it safer and more versatile across species and situations. Redfish can be used daily on feed, in drinking water, or as part of drench protocols.

One scoop replaces a standard packet of common electrolytes, but delivers far more.

FAQs

How is Redfish different from other electrolytes?

Redfish is a dextrose-based electrolyte, improving absorption and utilization while also making it harder to over-do (think tie ups in pigs). We designed the product to also provide vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to support your animals during times of stress (heat, transport, shows, etc.).

Can this replace the electrolyte in my drench?

Absolutely! Redfish can be utilized daily on feed or in drinking water, during times of stress, and in drench! One scoop of Redfish will replace a packet of popular electrolyte.

Can I feed Redfish?

Absolutely! Redfish can be top dressed on feed, used in drinking water, or mixed into drench. When top dressing on feed, we recommend 1/4 scoop per feeding for animals under 100 lbs, 1/2 scoop for animals over 100 lbs, and a full scoop for all animals over 900 lbs.

When should I use Redfish paste?

We like Redfish paste as a convenient way to get your animals their electrolytes while on the go, without having to mix with water. When at show, Redfish paste allows you to easily give a set amount of electrolytes to your animals while adjusting drench and water as needed.

How much should I feed?

We recommend starting ALL products at a partial dose and working animals up to their appropriate dose over the course of at least one week.

If my feed is dry, what can I do to help supplements stick to it? You can do a few things to help supplements stick to feed:

  • DON’T FEED TOO MANY SUPPLEMENTS, TOO FAST! Our first recommendation is the slow introduction of products, one at a time. This generally avoids intake issues as a whole.
  • Use a little Sweetcoat to coat feed. This can also help with overall palatability!
  • Wet feed. If drenching is not allowed at your show, this can double as your way to keep them hydrated and looking their best.
  • Use a spray bottle. If your animals don’t like their feed floating around in their feeder, spraying with water to get enough dampness for supplements to stick is a good alternative.
How fast will I get my order?

We do our very best to be expeditious in getting orders out the door. That said, once orders are in the hands of couriers, we have no control over delivery times. The best bet to having your order go out in a timely manner is to ORDER SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHTS TO HAVE YOUR ORDER SHIPPED THE NEXT DAY!

Please note, all guaranteed delivery services (2nd Day Air, 3 Day Select) are BUSINESS DAYS. This means if an order is shipped Friday via 2nd Day Air, it is not supposed to arrive to you until the following Tuesday. We recommend 3 Day Select, as it moves as “ground express”, often getting to the final destination a day early and generally includes Saturday delivery.

Are the products safe for all species?

Yes! With the exception of Bulk Up for pigs; we would like to see more data for the product being fed before feeling comfortable making a strong recommendation.

This supplement has been a hit in my barn. Even the picky ones have taken to it easily. I high recommend this supplement and the fact it comes in a paste form as well is a win win.

Redfish has been great for keeping our sheep hydrated and fresh during these extremely hot days.

Redfish has made a super difference in keeping show goats consistently hydrated! We can see the difference it makes. They stay fresh and feeling good on the road with Redfish. And we love actual science behind a product from someone with a nutritional education. We are so glad we tried this product and won't ever be without it!

Redfish has helped so much in the days leading up to the show and at the show. It has kept the lambs hydrated and given them the perfect handle. It is especially useful at shows that have strict drenching rules. Redfish gives them the vitamins and electrolytes they need, but also keeps them drinking water to ensure freshness and that perfect feel.

Wouldn’t go to a show without it. Staying hydrated can be the biggest challenge when hauling during warm months and we keep our animals fresh and ready to enter the ring with this product. We trust all sawtooth supplements to look out for our animals health while driving results.

I have been using redfish for my show lambs for the last year. I could see a difference in their appearance within weeks. They stay hydrated and fresh looking. Especially during travel for shows, it helps to keep them from dehydrating and looking stale. If I had to pick one supplement this is the one. Plus, it smells so yummy!

Our animals absolutely love this. We’ve added it to their water in extreme heat or when they are not feeling their best. We also like to give it in the water for 3 days prior to a show to help keep them hydrated. We use this on sheep, goats, and steers. We’ve even shared with some of the other families in our barns in times of need. This is a staple in our show box.

We added Redfish to our program this past summer. Using Redfish as a drench two days before we travelled to jackpots and then during the extreme heat of the southeast summer. This has helped keep our livestock hydrated and fresh under times of stress.

The combination of redfish and platinum punch was a game changer leading up to our show in the heat of July on the east coast made a big difference in eye appeal and feel of the ewes

The combination of redfish and platinum punch was a game changer leading up to our show in the heat of July on the east coast. As we gradually increased leading up to show day you could see and feel the improvement in the fill and coat of the ewes.
